Meet the face
behind the words

Wearing many hats that include journalist, publicist, events organiser and freelance writer, Rukee is most passionate about storytelling and brand-building.

She got into journalism at a time when Namibian fashion was under-represented in the media, and took it as an opportunity to make her mark by covering fashion extensively and consistently since 2012. Her writing has since been featured in The Namibian, REconnected.com (South Africa) and The  Culture Trip (United Kingdom) and she now contributes monthly to FlyWestair magazine.

Rukee’s fashion writing has opened many doors and remains her greatest outlet. It was her fashion writing that bagged her influencer campaigns with the Foschini group and My Republik clothing.

Currently employed as a concept engineer, Rukee is a public relations consultant and freelance writer in her spare time.

Industry colleagues describe her as hard-working, compassionate and kind, but tough as nails when necessary.

Johnathan Beukes, a mentor and friend, sums up her work: “Rukee combines work ethic and intelligence to deliver high-quality work and ties it all with a bow of confidence and clarity. She’s a compassionate leader who always does the best for the collective.”

Although Rukee loves her work, motherhood brings her the most joy. She launched this website to share her writing with the world and document her journey as a working mom. If anything, this website is an outlet to show how powerful it is for moms to embrace every dimension of being multifaceted beings.
